The per-molecule calculation

The quoted patent text supplies a worked calculation:

  • Each molecule releases two electrons.
  • Each electron carries a charge of 4.8 × 10⁻¹⁰ e.s.u., equivalent to approximately 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹ coulombs.
  • The EMF for oxidation of Ag(I) to Ag(II) is given as 1.98 V (≈2.0 V), citing Antelman's Encyclopedia of Chemical Electrode Potentials (Plenum, 1982, p. 88).
  • Using P = EI, per-electron power = 2.0 × 1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹ = 3.2 × 10⁻¹⁹ watts.
  • Doubled for two electrons: 6.4 × 10⁻¹⁹ watts per molecule.

Unreconciled quantitative claims

The page header adds two figures that do not appear in the derivation:

  • "releases ~10 kv of electrical energy through a reduction/oxidation process"
  • "Power Flux = 4.0 volts EMF generated per molecule × Concentration (ppm) × 5"

Neither the "~10 kv" headline nor the "4.0 volts × ppm × 5" formula is derived, unit-consistent, or reconciled with the 6.4 × 10⁻¹⁹ watts/molecule figure. The source offers no measurement supporting any of them.

The activation caveat

The page states that the crystals "will not do so unless activated by an oxidizing agent such as Oxone or hydrogen peroxide." This is a significant qualification: the material is not self-activating, which complicates the "self-contained molecular battery" framing. The claim therefore describes a co-reactant-dependent redox process, not a spontaneous discharge.

Evidentiary status

The mechanism is asserted, not demonstrated. The source reports no experiment isolating the electron release, no measurement of pathogen electrocution, and no independent replication.
