Alla A. Kornilova is a biologist/microbiologist and the co-author, with Vladimir I. Vysotskii, of the body of work claiming biological transmutation of stable and radioactive isotopes. She is a co-patentee on the associated patent family and a co-author on the monograph Nuclear Transmutation of Stable and Radioactive Isotopes in Biological Systems.
Role in the work
Kornilova is credited as first author on the Cs/Sr joint-transmutation paper "Joint transmutation of stable Cs and Sr isotopes in microbiological systems and prospects for accelerated deactivation of liquid radioactive waste," co-authored with Vysotskii, Sergei N. Gaidamaka and Marina A. Gladchenko. That paper is the most methodologically candid item in the dossier, recording both a positive result (a two- to threefold increase in yttrium in optimal experimental bioreactors, and decreases of 20% in cesium and 55% in strontium in the liquid) and a significant caveat: yttrium and barium also appeared in a control bioreactor that contained no added biomass, which the authors attribute most likely to cross-inoculation from the experimental bioreactors.
