Claim-by-claim comparison
Over-unity magnetic motor. Aspden claimed net energy from a cyclic magnetisation process, with the deficit drawn from the aether. The source offers no measurement, no calorimetry and no replication. Net energy from a cyclic process would violate the first law of thermodynamics as conventionally understood, so the burden of proof is correspondingly high. Antigravity. Presented in The Theory of Antigravity (1991) as theory, not as a demonstrated effect. The source supplies no experimental result.
Preferred-frame electrodynamics. Synchronous Lattice Electrodynamics as an Alternative to Time Dilation (1987) and Retardation in the Coulomb Potential (1995) are written in a formal style, but formal style is not peer review, and the preferred-frame claim is in tension with the experimental basis of special relativity (Michelson–Morley, Kennedy–Thorndike, and modern optical-resonator tests). Aspden's response was that a lattice aether can be constructed to evade those null results; whether that construction is consistent is a question for the papers, not for this index.
Biological ion cyclotron resonance. Cyclotron Resonance in Human Body Cells (1997) invokes a textbook resonance condition but claims biological significance for it. No clinical outcome is reported in the source. See Ion Cyclotron Resonance in Biology (Aspden).
The one trace of critical engagement
The Power From Magnetism — The Potter Debate (1994) title indicates that Aspden's magnetic-energy claims were contested in print and that he responded; the index page does not name the critic or summarise the exchange. The archive preserves the exchange rather than only the assertion, which is useful for a reader trying to gauge how the claims were received — but the outcome is not summarised in the index page.
Assessment
The dossier is a finding aid, not evidence. It supports a bibliographic and contextual article about Aspden's programme; it does not support any technical conclusion about the correctness of the claims.
