EP0016079 (with WO8000293) is a patent document attributed to Jacques Ravatin, reproduced in the source archive. It claims an apparatus for amplifying "emissions due to shapes" — the supposed emissions of certain low-symmetry geometric forms — to industrially exploitable levels by combining the form with an applied electric field.
Claimed construction
The preferred embodiment is a hollow cylindrical form whose radial cross-section is a regular 16-sided polygonal frame. Four pointed electrodes are mounted on the frame, directed toward its centre, with their points coplanar in the plane bisecting the frame. Two electrodes carry a stable, filtered DC positive potential relative to ground; the other two are grounded.
The frame sides are made of very dry wood (poplar, oak or exotic wood) with plank length taken along the wood fibres. Some sides are constructed as right- or left-handed Moebius-strip volumes; in the preferred embodiment sides 2, 4, 5, 9, 11, 13 and 15 are right Moebius strips and sides 6 and 10 are left Moebius strips. The source contains an internal inconsistency on the circumscribed-circle diameter (≥200 cm vs. ≥250 cm at 45 kV) that it does not reconcile.

Ovoidal wooden volumes threaded on the electrode stems (homothetic, with preferred axial lengths 6, 15, 24 and ~33 cm); discs of ~32 cm diameter; rhomboidal volumes as an alternative; cylinder-and-cone volumes with ~140° cone points; inorganic additions such as carborundum, proustite, pyragyrite, obsidian, natural graphite or nematic liquids; acoustic resonators; lasers; concentric frames (an outer octagonal F1 and inner 16-sided F2 with circumscribed diameters of 384 cm and ~192 cm); and a truncated pyramid enclosure of ~4.5 m height on a ~5 m square base.
Claimed effects
All attributed to the inventor's observations and none independently verified: local rotation of magnetic variation ~60° west of magnetic north; local gravitation reduced to 0.9× normal at 45 kV; slight increase in air refractive index; no ash formation in combustion; ~30% less coal for the same thermal energy at 45 kV; ~50% reduced gasoline consumption in engines; 2.1–2.3× increase in NaCl solubility coefficient; plant growth/size increase factor 2–10; possible partial or complete catalyst removal.
