It is the most recurrent mechanistic claim target in the source archive thymus dossier: several patent abstracts explicitly claim to reduce or reverse it, recover thymus weight, or restore thymus function.

- CN104940213 — Use of ecdysone (preferably plant ecdysone) in a drug for improving animal thymus health. Claims thymic atrophy is "effectively reduced," lymphocytic functions and immune systems are kept or improved, and the compound can treat or prevent lymphopenia and recover thymus weight and function.
- CN103483458 — Lentinan from Lentinus edodes stems, claimed to "directly oppose the thymus and spleen atrophy caused by qi-blood deficiency."
- CN105998252 — A breast-enlarging topical preparation claimed to treat "female chest maldevelopment, thymus atrophy and other problems" — a cosmetic product invoking thymic atrophy as a marketing rationale.
- CN102688312 and CN102429951 — Herbal and botanical extracts claimed to increase thymus and spleen weights or "improve thymus gland organs" in rodent models.
Evidentiary status
All of these are abstract-level applicant assertions. The dossier supplies no effect sizes, statistics, clinical data or independent replication.
