Low-temperature material activation is a claimed application of FR2716123, the Ravatin fluid-activation patent. Metals (pure or alloyed), ceramics, hard plastics and fired grounds (terracotta) are immersed in fluid that has been activated by the device and process described in the patent (preferably oil), then treated at low temperature — −40 °C, preferably −80 °C, for at least 1 hour.

Claimed properties

The source states that return to ordinary temperature "by no means affects the activation of treated materials." The treated materials are claimed to be capable of propagating their properties to their contents — in the case of containers, for example — and also to electromagnetic waves that these containers emit or reflect from their surfaces.
