Source record: Pavlita and the 1987 preprint

Editorial source note. G. Egely and G. Vertesy’s Experimental Investigation of Biologically Induced Magnetic Anomalies is report KFKI-1987-18/E, issued by the Central Research Institute for Physics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The title page labels it a preprint; its colophon is dated April 1987. The 29-page author-hosted scan was checked alongside the archive transcription. Its ISSN identifies the series and does not establish independent peer review.

The report concerns changes in specimens’ magnetic response. The compass demonstration belongs to the witness narrative attributed to Stanley Krippner, not this experimental series. All reported sample activations in the preprint were performed by Pavlita.

The accompanying U.S. government record is a separate, earlier source: an eight-page excerpt from a September 1975 intelligence report. It documents contemporary accounts and assessments, not independent validation. Its full captured PDF is available in the source room. The forum reprint of Krippner is treated as a witness narrative with uncertain reprint rights; it is summarized rather than reproduced in full.
