Dipl. Ing. Rudolf Hingst was Hans Coler's assistant. He is named in BIOS Final Report No. 1043 in connection with the 1937 measurement of a two-solenoid secondary-DC effect.
The 1937 measurement
Coler and Hingst reported a considerable direct-current component in a secondary circuit whose two windings were connected in series but wound in opposite senses, so their induced currents should cancel. This became Experiment 3 in the BIOS team's 1946 laboratory programme. The BIOS team's test did not confirm the effect.
Assessment in the source
The 1937 Hingst measurement is one of the earlier positive reports that the 1946 BIOS experiments contradicted. The dossier does not reproduce Hingst's original measurement records, and no independent replication of the 1937 result is cited.
